Jeannie Williams writes us ...

"Brother Dave passed peacefully in palliative care in Sydney wed night. During his fight it was evident that The Lord had his hand on Dave.  We saw this so many times right from the beginning of the battle to his last few days. God blew us all away in Dave's final days when he was taken off life support  - doc/staff in ICU didn't expect him to last longer than an hour since he hadn't had any of his own breaths showing on ventilator for awhile. Our father showed me that it was His breath in his lungs and that His timing is perfect.During that short time another two miracles occurred. As a friend recently said, "There's miracles in the waiting." One thing I can be sure of, Dave is resting with his saviour and that his testimony will live on through his family and friends. Thank you for standing and believing for brother Dave. He's was so humbled by Gods love that was shown through His people."

Our Heartfelt Condolences To Jeannie Williams

Our heartfelt condolences are being sent to Jeannie Williams on the passing of her brother, Dave this evening, January 27th. Jeannie has been up in Cape Breton the past few days to be with Dave and his wife, Lisa. We rejoice with Jeannie for the surrender of Dave to the Lord. Our prayer is that The comfort of the Holy Spirit would bring peace to your heart strain this time. Please keep Jeannie, Ron and Sophie in your prayers as well as her sister-in-law and the extended family in Cape Breton.

We received the following by email this week:

Dear Pastor Russ and Rock Church family,

Good news...I was released from hospital Saturday (9 days in)...much too well to be there anymore...there's a time & place for everything;-) God gave several Divine appointments while in there.

Rebecca and I are grateful for the prayer and support. God has been (and is) very present at many levels!

The next while will be taken slow and easy with a lot of follow-up, but by God's abundant grace I'm here ticking & kicking to press on in whatever the LORD has in store--be that little or much.

Condolences to Muriel Reece and Beth & Serge Brisson

We extend our condolences to Muriel Reece and Beth and Serge Brisson. Yesterday morning, Muriel and Beth's brother passed away. Funeral details will be announced shortly. Our prayers for the comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit are with the entire family at this time. 

Prayer Request for Jeannie's Brother, Dave in Cape Breton

On Boxing Day, Jeannie W. headed to Cape Breton to be with her brother, Dave, and his family. She sent this email:

Heading to CB, Dave is being transferred to Sydney intensive care, it doesn't  look good. Blood pressure is dropping and fever, Lungs rattling etc. could be pneumonia. be  Once again by sight it doesn't look good but we will not go by we see. He is in the Lords Hands!  Please pray for wisdom for medical people and peace for Dave and Lisa and that God protects Dave right now and brings him through this. Thanks so much for your prayers.
