Please pray for Linda Birk's mother, Estella, who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.  She is not one to ask for prayer so that in itself is miraculous, according to Linda.  Please pray for Estella and Linda...for strength, a positive outlook and healing. Thanks in advance for your prayers.

Please continue to pray for Keith Bradbury as he is still awaiting surgery and in a great deal of pain.  He broke his ankle in two places on Thursday night playing soccer.

We are requesting your prayers for King Flood (Shelley Goerz's father) who is in the hospital.  King has undergone one surgery and will have another today.  The situation is very serious.  Please pray for the entire family and healing in King's body.

Please pray as well, for Michelle Blair and Lynette Bradbury's father, John Foster.  He is currently awaiting surgery in Newfoundland.  His surgery has been postponed twice so a miraculous date for this week would be wonderful. Pray as well for healing and restoration in his body.

Howard Ivany, PChris's grandfather (David Ivany's father), has been very ill and is in the hospital in Newfoundland where the family has been called. Please remember the family  in your prayers at this time

Please remember the following prayer requests from a few of our Church family:

My co-worker has asked me to get everyone that can pray to pray. Her mom is very sick in the St.John hospital, she is in isolation with some kind of infection but they have no idea what it is. She is very concerned her mom won't be alive much longer. She has also asked that we pray for herself this past week she has had a mental breakdown. She told me tonight she is almost at her bottom. God, has really opened doors for me to be able to share Him with her and a few weeks ago she said she had starting praying.

John den Hollander has a prayer request. He's waiting on an appointment with another doctor for a second opinion regarding whether or not they will be able to help with an issue with his eyes regarding white spots on the retina.  Please pray for a quick appointment and resolution for this situation.

Linda O'Neil was extremely blessed and pleased to have so many people from Rock attend the recent visitation in memory of her brother Bill. She appreciates the thoughtfulness of so many and wants to thank each one who took time out for this.

Prayer Requests - Nov. 14th

This request came in from Kerry Andrews:

Please pray for Luke Burke.  Luke is 18-years-old, and is the son of one of my coworkers.  They both believe in Jesus.

Luke is currently in the hospital, and suffers from giant cell myocarditis.  This is an extremely serious auto immune disease.

We prayed for Luke and his mom today at the hospital.  Would you please ask our church family to join us in believing for a miracle?  We know that Jesus is the great physician and the compassionate healer, and we are believing for Luke's complete recovery.

John den Hollander asks for prayer for the following:

Please pray for Barb Legay who has been experiencing chest pain this past week.   Pray that they will have a good report and that her pain will cease.

Terror in Jerusalem: A Report From Rebecca Malloy

The following report was received by Eric and Rebecca Malloy who are currently in Israel. If you are staying in touch with the news you may be aware of the terror incident that happened this week. Please pray for them...
--
Wednesday Nov.5

Terror struck outside my hotel window today in Jerusalem. Only minutes earlier I enjoyed a serene little stroll along the streets near the Grand Court Hotel. I was relaxing in my room on the seventh floor when sirens began to go off. Going to the window I noticed police cars rushing to the intersection of a major street and light rail train route, near where I just had been. Ambulances were on the scene and many more coming from several directions. The Intersection was quickly blocked off and further up the street was more activity, more police cars, more soldiers, another roadblock. The scene was constantly changing. Traffic was at a standstill. My eyes were drawn to the sidewalk where numerous emergency responders were already huddled close together with their backs to the traffic, obviously caring for injured on the ground. People were running to the scene only to be held back by roadblocks and police tape. A photo journalist rushed by under my window toward the chaos. Helicopters began circling overhead.

It dawned on me that I was witnessing something terrible. I sent a short text to my husband in meetings at the Bridges For Peace headquarters. He quickly informed me from online news sources that a terrorist had just rammed his van into a number of pedestrians.

As the first victims of this senseless, evil act of terrorism were taken on stretchers to waiting ambulances my tears started to fall. I prayed for all the innocent people whose lives were shattered in an instant, for the neighbourhood in upheaval, and for the peace of Jerusalem.

I ventured down to the lobby only to see a number of soldiers, both inside and out. It was only hours later I heard that one border police officer was killed and as many as fourteen civilians and border police injured. The terrorist was shot dead as he exited his vehicle.

My serene morning was over. Yesterday my husband and I took the amazing train to city centre and Ben Yehuda Street. Will I take the train tomorrow? One thing I know, we must never let terrorists win. They don't value life, they seek to intimidate and instill fear. However, I have a new understanding of what the people in Israel face all too often. I weep for them and with them. Peace be upon Israel.

Diving Injury - Please pray

The following prayer request was received from Nicole Doucette:

Please pray for my nephew, Brandon. He went swimming a few weeks ago and sustained an injury when he dove off the high platform, resulting in a fractured rib, lung contusion and lung laceration. He was admitted to the hospital last Tuesday and is still there. He may have surgery  to drain fluid from his lung. Earlier this week they inserted a chest tube to help drain the fluid, however it resulted in high BP and high heart rate. They can't seem to get ahead of the pain. Prayers for his complete healing and discharge from the hospital. He's been in there 10 days now and they just seem to be going in circles.  Thank you.
